The open layout and clean lines characteristic of contemporary design are complemented by the exposed brick and concrete elements often found in industrial spaces. These raw materials add a touch of character and authenticity, while the neutral colour palette creates a sense of calm and tranquillity. Wabi-sabi, the Japanese aesthetic that celebrates imperfection, is also subtly incorporated into the design. Imperfections, such as the natural variations in wood veneer and wood grain, are embraced rather than hidden. This adds a sense of warmth and human touch to the otherwise minimalist space.
Although we embraced natural imperfections, we also aimed to maintain a clutter-free workspace while ensuring practicality and functionality. To achieve this, we incorporated discreet shelving and storage solutions, such as a hidden dish rack disguised as a mahogany overhead cabinet, trash bins concealed within cabinets beneath the sink, and piping and wiring discreetly integrated into wooden crown moulding. Our flooring, which may appear to be cement but is actually cement-textured vinyl, not only adds a touch of industrial chic but also offers practical benefits such as seamlessness, noise cancellation and durability. This flooring choice contributes to a clean and low-maintenance workspace that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional.

Our studio is bathed in natural light, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows, but for times when indoor lighting is needed our potato chip lights and pendant lights provide illumination and joy with their quirky designs. An abundance of wood in various shades, from darker mahogany to lighter beech, brings a touch of nature indoors. Small, timeless details, such as the wood veneer in our workspace, pantry and dining area, which will deepen in colour over time, the bespoke mahogany dining table engraved with our logo, the elegant yet chic metal spiral staircase leading to our mezzanine area, and the playful potato chip lights hanging over the workstation, add a unique character to our space. Each space and piece of furniture has been lovingly curated, designed and put together with passion and love.
To add visual interest, many of our chairs feature lattice work details. In some rooms, we even experimented with asymmetrical shapes and different materials, ranging from rattan and wood to faux leather and metal. We love mixing things up to keep it fresh, so our meeting rooms boast a fun, eclectic mix of chairs – some with rather abstract backs or legs – while our space incorporates contrasting materials like sleek wood and red brick.
Our office is designed to be multifunctional, flexible and space-efficient. To achieve this, we have opted for a layout that is as open as possible. For private areas like meeting rooms, we have used hidden track sliding wood doors to partition off the spaces when needed, rather than building fixed walls. This allows us to open up the space when the meeting rooms are not in use, making the most of our available space.
